With such widespread literacy, communication, and transportation,

cultures, it is now fully evident that there are many saviors and true
religious paths for mankind of equal value to gain some kind of 
salvation, the knowledge of Reality/God.

Why are so many persons Leaving the Churches and religion in general?

Such a movement of every persons life outlook is largely influenced by a number of factors including modern science and technology. But aside from so many timely distractions there is a hoard of contradictory assertions that are seriously challenging long held beliefs of the devotees of religions of all kinds.

The leadership and clergy of most of these great religions themselves are largely at fault in the process of the great disenchantment of post modern migration to atheism and non-belief.

In the face of more literate and well educated  persons, one 

does not easily take to unproven assumptions that every word in certain books are beyond question and the flawless word of someones favorite Church or "God." 

Scinetific knowledge of recent years is a real and challenging adversary of many long held ideas that were created by institutions to maintain power and sustain the egos of spiritually unqualified authorities. Although well educated greatly lacked real spiritual training by true self-realized Masters of the Spirit.

Even if any printed material should be of a high fidelity and unadulterated to some degree[not probable in this world], your interpretation of such holy writ will often be flawed as to the original speakers/writers intended  meanings of such words. This, one should know, is the result of your cultural and religious programming. Essentially, the education in limited ideas of believing and thinking.

Paramahansa Yogananda gives us the most reliable scientific methods of freeing ourselves from the darkness of such erroneous  programming to really come to know our real Selves and the source of our inner reality, our true being. And to finally know beyond  doubt and false emotions what the teachings of those remarkable ancient sages really means. 

Yogananda states in this regard that, "

 interpretation is the testimony of actual 

perception - to go into that state of

 consciousness in which the prophets 

perceived the truths they expounded 

and thereby witness the meaning they intended."
